Similar Texts- The Hills Have Eyes

The Hills Have Eyes (2006) starts off with introducing the setting, and the enemy, which are the mutants.

The mutants are formed through too much exposure of radioactive materials. The mutants start off by attacking the three men on the testing site, leading to one of the victims to being stabbed and the other two victims to be slaughtered and then chained to the back of a car, which then drives away. Later in the film, it is known that the mutants do have some form of conscious, as they have some intelligence.

In our film, we have a similar type of mutant, though instead of having a being that has been exposed to radiation, we have chosen to use the more controlled option of having our killers to be genetically altered. Though radiation does this, we chose to have our modified genetics to be in lab, instead of an open nuclear testing site.

What can we take from this film trailer?

The trailer is somewhat slow to begin with, and I didn't feel like that the trailer was scary, though rather the editing is good with quick jump cuts and use of screen time for each shot. This is something to consider when making our trailer. I also found that the audio in the trailer was really effective, so that can also help us make an effective trailer.
